Gerstlauer Unveils Newest Addition to Spinning Coaster Family

The newest concept to come out of Gerstlauer Amusement Rides is a coaster that fits any park, but is sized and priced specifically for small-to-medium parks. “We have a lot of large, custom Spinning Coasters in the market,” said Siegfried Gerstlauer, the company’s managing director. “However, we wanted to develop a layout that costs less than our other models but afforded the same great Gerstlauer coaster experience.”

The new Spinning Coaster concept features four vehicles and costs less than 2 million Euro. “We believe that staying under this price point was key, both for our European customers and buyers abroad. Our approach was to offer a great guest experience at a lower cost than our previous designs,” commented Gerstlauer.

The design stands 45 feet high, features 1,034 feet of track, and fits in a footprint of 90 X 150 feet. It features a curving first drop, an Immelman, two Wild Mouse turns, a pair of descending and ascending helices, and a high speed turn to finish the experience.

2009 will see another Spinning Coaster open, this one in Dubai. With two Launched Coasters, two Euro-Fighters, a Spinning Coaster, a Sky Roller and a Ferris Wheel 2009 has been another exceptional year for Gerstlauer Amusement Rides.
