As we start a new year, there’s a lot to look forward to here at Ride Entertainment! Here’s just a short list of just some of the things we’re up to in 2022:
We start off the year just as we always do, busy with off-season maintenance work! The Ride Entertainment Installation and Maintenance division performs maintenance service work, ride relocations, and ride installations on attractions from all manufacturers. Of course, they’ll be staying busy putting up not one but TWO of Gerstlauer’s coasters later this year…
After taking a year off due to the pandemic, we’re preparing once again for our annual Skycoaster® safety seminar, this year in Orlando, Florida. It certainly helps that the two Fun Spot parks we’ll be at just happen to have two of the tallest Skycoasters on Earth!
Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park
The first of two Gerstlauer coasters set to open in 2022, Defiance at Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park is sure to become a bucket-list coaster for many enthusiasts. While it will be a challenging installation – being on the top of a mountain – it just might be the most beautiful roller coaster location …ever!
Later on in the fall, we’ll be bringing Palindrome to life at COTAland in Austin, Texas! The first Gerstlauer Infinity Shuttle Coaster in North America, Palindrome will feature four inversions (two forward and backward) and cross a road in the process. Did we mention you get to do the whole ride backwards, too?
Of course, we’ll also be out and about, helping parks across the country make their guest experience even better with new attractions for next year or even further out. If you see us out at your favorite park, you never know what might be coming down the pipeline!
Well, there you have it, our 2022 in a nutshell. And these are just the projects we can talk about! Stay tuned to all of our social channels and this blog as we take you all along for the ride that will be 2022!
