Hello world!
I’m Kris Rowberry, Ride Entertainment’s Communications Manager. I’m beyond excited to join the Ride Entertainment family and get to know all of you on this journey. Every month, I’ll be dropping a new blog or two that hopefully you find funny, entertaining, informative or a combination of all three.
With all that being said, here’s some things you should probably know about me:
I’m a thrill seeker who turned his passion into a career.
It may have taken some convincing as a child, but I went from a coaster-phobic to coaster-holic, about halfway through a ride on a Schwarzkopf shuttle loop back in 1993.
Now, it’s not uncommon to find me jumping on a kiddie coaster “for the credit.” I also helped create and produce a TV series and feature film on the attractions industry. But my passion for this industry goes far beyond acquiring new coaster credits (365 if you were wondering).
I believe that our industry has a fundamentally good influence on people. We need to have fun (now more than ever) and we are the only industry on Earth where you leave happier than you arrive.
A large part of that experience are the people who all make it happen. The more of us in the attractions industry who live, breathe and eat the attractions world, the better our industry becomes.
Ed and the rest of the superb team here at Ride Entertainment understand that this passion brings better service, better understanding of your situations as owners / operators and moves our industry forward.
I’m a firm believer in giving back.
In addition to my work with Ride Entertainment, I volunteer with the American Coaster Enthusiasts (as a co-host on their monthly podcast) and with the National Roller Coaster Museum and Archives (on their social media).
I’m a bowler.
If we have a get-together at a bowling center, don’t be surprised to see me roll up with my own shoes and balls…I’ve got an average to keep up.
